Despite an eventful start to the race, the heroic Carruthers proved just how much ability he has and in 2011 he won the prestigious Hennessy Gold Cup.
King Harald galloped and jumped beautifully all the way. After a nail-biting finish, the memory of him winning the Jewsons Handicap Chase at Cheltenham will always be a racing highlight.
