Great Happiness!!
Saturday was a day of great happiness as Mr Vango passed through the important 6 week stage of his recovery from his broken neck sustained in The Grand National.
He is still extremely content and moving happily around his box without a worry in the world. We have a long way to go before his recovery is complete, but this is a big step in the right direction and he seems to be very much at peace with his confinement while he recovers.
I allow him out of his box to be in the sun just outside whenever the weather allows and he has got quite fussy about which patch of grass I pick for him to eat while he sunbathes. He is, thank God, a sensible soul and is very cautious when rolling and lying down, but he does that comfortably and gets up well. He has obviously heard about the benefits of manure as he covers himself in it whenever he can!!!
