Sara started her training career in partnership with her husband, Mark Bradstock. Having lost Mark early in 2024, Sara is now proud to lead the Mark Bradstock Racing yard with the support of her daughter, Lily Bradstock. They are building on the foundations Mark and sara laid together and continuing the success story.
Mark Bradstock’s Legacy
When two people with a shared passion and natural feel for horses and racing come together, it creates a powerfuI alchemy. This is how it was for Mark and Sara Bradstock.
From the beginning of their extraordinary training story in the 1980’s, they made every carefully considered decision together, and the results have been magical. Team family Bradstock has won the Cheltenham, Hennessey and Bet 365 Gold Cups by knowing, loving and caring for each of their charges, training them to be the very best racehorse they can be.
Sara continues Mark’s legacy of success on the biggest stages, created, not with massive financial investment, but by finding that extra inch of effort in all horses in her care.
The Bradstock’s Passion
Jump racing is the yard’s passion and finding the key to getting the very best performances out of each horse they train is their specialty. The yard is a small and family run able to give each horse the time and attention they deserve.
Through the years all their horses have surpassed expectations and with the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Hennessey Gold Cup and Bet365 Gold Cup wins from Coneygree, Carruthers and Step Back, respectively, the yard is justly proud of their achievements so far.
The yard’s success is a direct result of the dedication of the whole team as well as their in-depth understanding of what it takes to breed and train successful and happy National Hunt racehorses.
Racing Heritage
With a lifetime’s experience in racing the team have been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names in the industry including the legendary and record-breaking trainer Fulke Walwyn, Nick Gaselee and David Elsworth.
Never happy to rest on their laurels Sara has big plans for the string of horses currently in training.
